Privacy policy
We collect very little, we say exactly what we do with it, and we treat a child’s data as a special category — because under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, it is one.

Who we are

What we collect
When you fill in a form. Your name, your WhatsApp number, your city, the age of the child the enquiry is about, and anything you choose to write in the notes field. Nothing else. Every form on this site is deliberately short.
When you take the free chess test. The answers given to the eight positions and the time taken over each, the answers to the three behaviour questions, an age band, and how long the person has played. At the end, if you choose to receive the report: a parent’s name, a WhatsApp number, a city, and optionally a child’s first name.
When you browse. Standard analytics data through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — pages viewed, approximate location by city, device type, and how you arrived. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Children’s data — read this section
The free chess test is usually taken by or on behalf of a child, so this deserves to be stated precisely.
- The account holder is always the parent or guardian. The consent checkbox on the final screen of the test is a parental consent, and the contact details we hold are the parent’s.
- We store an age band, never a date of birth. “9” or “7–9”, not a birthday.
- A child’s first name is optional and is used only to head the report. We never ask for a full name. If you leave it blank the report simply says “your child”.
- We store no school, no address and no photograph collected through this website.
- Test performance data — which positions were solved and how quickly — is held for 24 months and then deleted.
- No third-party marketing or advertising pixels run on the test screens or on any report card page. Only our own analytics.
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act treats a child’s personal data as a special category requiring verifiable parental consent. Keeping the account holder as the parent, and collecting the minimum, is what keeps this straightforward for everyone.
Why we hold it, and for how long
Enquiry details are held so that we can reply to you and so that we can tell whether our own marketing works. Test data is held so that a coach can read your report before a call, and so that the report link keeps working if you come back to it.
Retention: enquiry records for 36 months from your last contact with us. Raw test attempt data for 24 months, then purged.
Who we share it with
Nobody, for marketing purposes. Ever. We do not sell, rent or exchange contact details.
We use a small number of processors to run the service: an email provider to send the report, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for analytics, and WhatsApp if you choose to contact us or receive the report that way. Each of those receives only what it needs to do that job.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete all of it. Email [CONFIRM: hello@64moves.com] or WhatsApp +91 82174 25648 and say what you want done.
We honour deletion requests within seven days and we do not ask you why.
WhatsApp and messages
If you take the free test we send one message with the report. We do not call unless you ask us to, and there is no follow-up sequence. If you book a demo class we call once to fix a time.
To stop hearing from us entirely, reply “stop” to any message, and that is the end of it.
Cookies
Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, and a small amount of browser storage used to keep your place while you are taking the test. No advertising cookies. If you clear your browser data your in-progress test is lost, which is the trade-off we chose deliberately — an abandoned test stores nothing on our side.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change affects data we already hold about you, we will tell you directly.
